This Home Makeover, from 80's nostalgia to modern coastal chic,  is a testament to meticulous planning and collaboration. The original structure, dating back to the early '80s, witnessed a complete transformation, with only the external brick walls and roof retaining their original identity.

The clients, a dynamic professional couple in their early 40s, sought a reliable builder capable of meeting tight deadlines for their weekender escape. The challenge was to achieve a complete upgrade and modernise the dwelling, keeping in mind the desire for a chic beach house aesthetic.

The renovator's focal point was the open-plan family/living/dining area, strategically designed to embrace breathtaking bay views. Marinda, the visionary client, infused the project with her eye for detail, opting for subtle tones and a modern vibe throughout. Special considerations were made to preserve the existing roof and external walls, a decision rooted in both budget consciousness and achieving an open-plan living concept.
