Melbourne Stunning Cozy Home Makeover
Not every home renovation has to be a massive mansion! Our renovation builder Melbourne is more than happy to transform a smaller space into a warm and inviting abode for the homeowners. This cosy home makeover brought new life to an outdated, tired, and dreary space that was crying out for some much-needed TLC. And, the owners could not keep the smiles off their faces.
The chosen colour scheme was a modern and stylish contrast of black and white, giving a bold and timeless vibe to the overall look of the interior. White is the perfect shade to create an illusion of spaciousness and make small areas appear larger.
The entranceway beckons with a cottage-style composite door with glass panels that let in loads of natural light and give a lovely view of the garden. In a smaller space, increasing the natural lighting will instantly brighten up a room and create an airy atmosphere.
Step inside, and you are wowed by the floor contrasts of natural dark wood and black and white, glazed porcelain Encaustic cement-effect patterned floor tiles. These stunning tiles bring character and personal style to the home, transforming dull floors from unseen surfaces into captivating design elements.
And, with careful placement, they work perfectly in small spaces too!
The design of the hallway is maximised for storage with strategically positioned floor-to-ceiling cabinets, ensuring ample space to organise and declutter, making them an essential feature for smaller homes.
The owners prepare for the day ahead in a clean, white bathroom complete with a free-standing basin on a vanity, wooden shelving, a shower and chrome towel rails. The floor design of the patterned tiles blends the bathroom into the rest of the house for a cohesive look. A frosted window offers privacy while still allowing sunlight to flood in. Matching the wooden floors are a trio of wooden shelves that can be used to store towels, bathroom necessities and decorative ornaments.
Keeping functionality easily accessible but out of the way is a laundry room, fitted with a washbasin and grey splashback tiles. It is large enough to hold a washing machine and a dryer, and offers additional wooden shelving for storing linen, blankets, and other home essentials.
Renovating a small home requires a great collaboration between the homeowners and the renovation team. In this successful project, ideas were shared to make the best use of every inch of space. The overall ambience is a cosy, welcoming home that offers a balance between style and practicality and showcases the personality of the homeowners.
