We were hoping to bring our 1940’s weatherboard house up-to-date while keeping a timeless, classic style. We wanted indoor/outdoor living and enough open plan area to make the heart of the house a functional and relaxing place to meet the needs of each individual member of our family. This required the building of a large veranda under a new roofline with a watertight and secure storage room underneath; opening the existing kitchen, dining and lounge areas to recreate the heart of the house complete with a spectacular new kitchen; adding additional family space by converting our unusable garage into a fully functioning room in the house.
