My wife and I met with Smith & Sons with an idea of the plan for a new home which we had spent some time working on. This is our third new home build so we kind of knew what we wanted. However, we did say to Darryl and Sam “If you can make it better, please do”. Make it better they did.

The home, while remaining true to our original design, was drafted, and built beyond our expectations. We couldn’t have imagined the finished result that was achieved with the design of the roof line and subsequent internal ceilings. We left the interior lighting to Smith & Sons and the layout of windows and skylights is nothing less than spectacular. We were also given assistance and advice when choosing tiles and paint colours. Their experience in this area is invaluable. Our block of land is sloping and quite steep, so the home's exterior was designed to maximise this, and the resulting views (through our unique window layout) don’t disappoint. The home was built within the specified timeframe once commenced with no unnecessary delays. We can’t fault the finish inside and out. The carpenters in their employ are truly craftsmen, evident in the exposed timberwork inside the house. Even though we were aware that they had other projects on the go while building our home, we were treated as if we were their only client. Darryl, Sam, and their entire team of tradies are courteous and professional in all their dealings, as well as the office staff that kept us informed along the way ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

We understand that Smith & Sons primarily carry out renovations and extensions and that new home builds are an exception, however, if the quality of our home is their standard, then any project will be above expectations.
