Amazing transformation

 

Our Indooroopilly team have done an outstanding job of this major renovation.

    

This house was originally built in 1938, it was time for major alteration and facelift to bring it back to life. Being a character house, a full demolition was not an option.

The house was raised, slid to the left and then restumped. The following works were then undertaken:

* Full alteration of the upper level including the removal of a few load bearing walls and building new internal walls

* All windows upstairs were replaced with timber door/windows supplied by Woodworkers

* Make opening and install new windows to comply with council requirements – front façade

* Demolish old deck and also a section in back of the house

* Rebuild the back section from lower level to the roof (Laundry in lower level and Bedroom extension in upper level) – including trussed roof

* Build an extension for internal stairs – including trussed roof

* Concrete slab in lower level

* Fully built-in lower level with internal stairs

* Aluminium doors and windows to lower level, supplied by GJames

* Restore the old weatherboard timber cladding

* Remove sections of old cladding and replace with new

* Install HWD cladding to new built – upper and lower level

* Tile lower level – including patio and front terrace

* Lay pine flooring board to upper level – old sunroom/ part of new master bedroom

* Polish flooring board in upper level

* Full work (waterproofing/bedding/tiling) in bathroom/toilets

* Full electrical and plumbing works throughout the house

* Build a carport at the front of the property
